- Universities – There are only 8 universities in New Zealand, all globally recognized for their high academic standards. Tuition fees start from around NZD 40,000 per year for Master’s programs and NZD 35,000 per year for Bachelor’s programs.
- Polytechnics – There are 16 Polytechnics and Institutes of Technology in New Zealand. These institutions focus on practical, hands-on learning and industry-relevant skills, preparing students for specific career paths. Tuition fees for Master’s programs typically range from NZD 25,000 to NZD 35,000 per year.
- Private Training Establishments – New Zealand is home to many privately owned institutions, known as Private Training Establishments (PTEs). These institutions offer a wide range of programs, particularly in fields such as Management and IT. Tuition fees for Master’s programs generally range from NZD 22,000 to NZD 35,000 per year, depending on the subject area and the recognition of the provider.

Funds Requirement for New Zealand Student Visa
To secure a student visa, financial proof is essential.
- Living expenses: Minimum NZD 20,000 per year.
